Dir: James Vasquez, 93min.
WINNER! BEST US NARRTIVE FEATURE - FilmOut San Diego
This poignant comedy by local San Diego filmmaker James Vasquez (29th & Gay) centers around a single Mom (Carrie Preston, Straight-Jacket) who struggles to understand her young son's (Lurie Poston, Girls Will Be Girls) obsession with dresses, dolls and girls' cheer-leading. With the recent death of her absent father, her wayward brother (John G. Preston) returns home, compelling them all to face themselves and what it truly means to be a "family". Fine supporting work by Kali Rocha, Tara Karsian, Sam Pancake & Michael Emerson (ABC's Lost) add to this delightfully well written and produced film.
