Companies include The Gallery Players, Manhattan Theatre Source, Small Pond Entertainment, AndHow!, Theater1010, The Hourglass Group, The Czechoslovak-American Marionette Theatre, Fine Feathered Friends, among many others, and has been seen onstage at such venues as 59E59, The Cherry Lane, The Public, The SoHo Playhouse, The 45th Street Theatre, P.S. 122, The Workshop Theatre, Theatre Row, and a giant (revolving!) antique carousel in DUMBO.
New York and regional credits include: Hamlet (twice), Touchstone, Claudius, Iago, Puck, Bottom, Oberon, Theseus, Egeus (he’s done MIDSUMMER a lot), Trissotin (Moliere’s THE LEARNED LADIES), Ken (Neil Simon’s RUMORS), Milo (THE RISE & FALL OF MILES & MILO), Versati (Steve Martin’s THE UNDERPANTS), St. John (JANE EYRE), King Midas and Orpheus (Mary Zimmerman’s METAMORPHOSES), Tuzenbach (Chekhov’s THREE SISTERS), Adolph Eichmann (GOOD), and many others.
As a PLAYWRIGHT, Nat’s scripts have been seen at the Manhattan Theatre Source, The Gallery Players, the FAR Space, and Theatre Row. His scripts include THE RECKONING OF KIT & LITTLE BOOTS (in which he also played Christopher Marlowe), which won a 2009 New York Innovative Theatre Award for Outstanding Full-Length Script, and was nominated for Outstanding Production (Engine37/The Gallery Players), ANY DAY NOW, nominated for Outstanding Director (Nat Cassidy); THE ETERNAL HUSBAND, THE COLLECTOR, I AM PROVIDENCE.
